One Pan Lemon Chicken Asparagus Pasta

INGREDIENTS (4 Servings)
* Olive oil
* 2 1/2 cup pasta (any you like)
* 3 1/3 cup broth (or water)
* 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, diced
* Salt (non iodized), to season
* 1/2 lemon juice,freshly squeezed
* 3 cloves garlic, minced
* 1/4 onion, minced
* 1 tbsp parsley
* ½ teaspoon cracked black pepper, to taste
* 2 bunches asparagus (around 30-35 spears), woody ends removed
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, add garlic and onion the saute for 1-2 minutes until fragrant
2. Put the diced chicken then add salt and stir occasionally, till turn color on both sides.
3. Add the broth (or water for low iodine diet) and stir well then add the pasta. Cover and turn the heat up to high and bring to a boil then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 6-7 minutes.
4. Once the pasta is done, open the lid, stir the pasta then add the asparagus and place the lid back on. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the asparagus and pasta are tender.
5. Remove the lid and add the lemon juice sprinkle with parsley.
