Baked Tonkatsu
Whenever I'm in Japan, the only food I wouldn't miss is Katsu. I love it so does our family. So try this less guilty Baked Tonkatsu, healthier option since it's not fried.

INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 tbsp oil
2 ½"-thick lean boneless pork loin chops (½ lb or 227 g, ½” = 1.2 cm)
1 tsp kosher/sea salt (use half for table salt)
freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 large egg
Tonkatsu Sauce (optional) or BBQ sauce
1 Tbsp ketchup
2½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
1½ tsp oyster sauce
1⅛ tsp sugar
INSTRUCTION
1. Combine the breadcrumb and oil in a frying pan and toast over medium heat until golden brown. Transfer the breadcrumb into a bowl and allow to cool.
2. Make a slices on the pork and pound the meat with the back of knife.
3. Get rid of the extra fat and make a couple of slits on the connective tissue between the meat and fat.
4. Sprinkle salt and freshly ground black pepper.

5. Prepare a bowl with the beaten egg and place each pork piece in the beaten egg.
6. Then flour to coat completely and pat off the excess flour. Dip into the beaten egg and finally coat with the toasted breadcrumb.
7. Place the pork on the prepared baking sheet or even better if you have an oven-safe wire rack. Bake until the pork is no longer pink inside, about 20 mins
