Grandma Bread Pudding

INGREDIENTS
3 slices whole grain bread (1 day old)
1 large eggs lightly beaten
1/3 cup honey
2 cup whole milk
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Almond slices, raisin, granola for toppings (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Spray baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Place the cubed bread into the prepared baking dish and spread it around into an even layer. Set aside.
2. In mixing bowl, whisk together the egg, honey, milk, and vanilla until fully combined. Pour the mixture evenly over the bread in the prepared baking pan, making sure all of the bread is coated.
3. Allow to sit and soak up the mixture for about 15 minutes. Drizzle toppings on top.
4. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350°F.
Once the 15 minutes is over, place the bread pudding in the oven and bake at 350°F for 45-50 minutes or until the top is set.
5. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly and drizzle with maple syrup before serving.
